Jabba's Comments |
A keeper who made his wartime debut for Leeds at the age of 18,
and played quite a few more games before the league resumed in
peacetime. With the arrival of Jim Twomey, Hodgson's chances were
going to be limited, so he was released and moved up to Boro as
second-choice keeper.
Chris Brown says: John was a miner from Murton Co Durham, who
played fro Murton before joining Leeds. His son still lives in the
area. I am married to johns great niece, and have several
photographs of john including a Leeds team photo but i am not sure
of the year but it is of Leeds.

Have your say
Did you see John Hodgson play? Did you meet him in a pub, go to
school with him, decorate his house or buy a motor from him? If
you've got any comments or stories about John Hodgson on or off the

blatantly libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick
note to the spammers who try to add their links to this page by
attempting to get round the client-side validation: don't bother -
the server side does similar checks and throws your garbage
straight into the bit bucket.
