Solid keeper who played for Leeds in the early 1950s. Manager
Major Frank Buckley had Scott on trial at Hull when he was there,
and after taking another look at him when he took over at Leeds,
decided he liked what he saw. A regular in the side from late 1951
to late 1954 when Roy Wood arrived and claimed the keeper's
jersey.
John Scott says: I am the JOHN SCOTT mentioned above i now live
in my native County Cumbria. When I retired from football I became
interested in golf.I represented the County for a number of years
and was honoured to be made County Captain. In 1991 I was invited
to be President of the Cumbria Golf Union.
