An experienced keeper signed as cover for Mervyn Day in 1985,
Trevor Swinburne had goalkeeping in his genes: father Tom played
between the sticks for Newcastle and brother Alan was briefly on
the books of Oldham. With the arrival of Ronnie Sinclair, Swinburne
became surplus to requirements at Leeds and was allowed to join
Lincoln on a free in 1986.
william swinburne says: i dont now quite how but i am related to
him!
Chris Sandham says: I worked with Trevor in the prison service,
a nicer guy you couldn't wish to meet, I wish him all the very
best, and know that what ever he does, he does 'all the way'. A
good guy!
Dawn Cathcart says: What a great guy, worked with Trevor, did
joint fantasy football team with him!!! obviously Trevor has lost
touch with football, but would not take advice from a female!!!
