David Kerslake was bought in as a promising right-back from
Swindon, but the emergence of Gary Kelly meant that he was going to
be hard-pressed to get a regular game and so he was released to
Spurs after a year.
He spent 5 years working with the youth team at Spurs before
joining Colin Calderwood at Northampton Town as reserve team
coach.
Brian Durrant from The
Sick Parrot says: David Kerslake arrived at Ipswich on a free
transfer and I think we paid too much for him. Watching Ipswich,
you get to see a few bad performances over the years, but his game
against Charlton (league away) in the 97/98 season was the worst I
have ever seen. I honestly believe my granny could have played
better and she's been dead for years.
Debbie Kerslake says: David Kerslake is my husband's cousin. My
husband's dad's brother,Leslie is David's dad. The last time we saw
David was at a wedding. The last thing we heard about him was that
he was playing football for Swindon!!!
ronaldo says: david kerslake was the greatest footballer of all
time
Jack Roberts says: I went to school with his son at St John
Fisher Primary School in Loughton
