A promising young centre forward with good physical presence.
Lee made a couple of substitute appearances in the 97-98 season but
found himself overtaken by the likes of Alan Smith in the race for
the first team.
He had a spell on loan at Notts County in 98-99 where didn't do
anything wrong, but didn't particularly impress either. After
recovering from a long-term injury, he had another loan spell -
this time at Gillingham and managed to pick up a few goals playing
for the Leeds reserve team but was still a bit short of the first
team. He was given a 1-year contract extension to see if he could
get over his injuries and prove something on the pitch, and moved
on to Bristol City in March 2001.
He was placed on the transfer list at the end of the 2001-02
season as many of the Nationwide clubs sought to cut their wage
bills but is still at Ashton Gate as the 2002-03 season starts.
Ryan Hodgson says: Great Player, I played with him at
Middlesbrough boys. I am now playing in America on a scholarship.
He might remember me, we were on the same team as Andy Campbell,
and a couple of other good players.
