Jabba's Comments |
A left-sided attacking player we got on loan who was given the
number of Lee Sharpe, a left-sided attacking player we let go on
loan. Looked reasonable in his few appearances, but was tapped up
by GG and Spurs, so refused to sign a perfectly reasonable contract
that he was offered by Leeds. His first season at Spurs was ruined
by injury, and it looks like Leeds might have staged a lucky escape
by not signing him.
In the end he was forced to retire from the game with a hip
injury in October 2001 and in 2002 he returned to his hometown club
of Nijmegen as a coach.

Have your say
Did you see Willem Korsten play? Did you meet him in a pub, go
to school with him, decorate his house or buy a motor from him? If
you've got any comments or stories about Willem Korsten on or off
the pitch, just fill in the form below and (provided they're not
blatantly libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick
note to the spammers who try to add their links to this page by
attempting to get round the client-side validation: don't bother -
the server side does similar checks and throws your garbage
straight into the bit bucket.
