Useful and experienced player who spent 3 years at Leeds,
finding himself in and out of the side as Jack Taylor shuffled the
squad around in an attempt to find a winning formula. After leaving
Leeds, he had a brief spell in non-League football before moving on
to Southend and subsequently leaving the country to live in
Australia.
Bob Hanson says: Bobby Cameron played at right-half for United
and was well known for his powerful right foot shooting. In one
game I saw (can't remember now against whom) he shot towards the
Gelderd Road end goal from a position not much over the halfway
line and over on the right. When the ball hit the back of the net
it seemed to be still rising! A very popular player in his time at
Leeds.
