A nippy winger from Tyneside, Clark found his way back into the
first team blocked after losing his place through injury with
George Mason, Walter Coates and Alan Noble finding greater favour.
He died in his native Jarrow towards the end of 1975.
Thanks to Doug Noble for the photos of Wally in his bowling
days.
Doug Noble says: Wallace Clark (Wally) was one of the best flat
green bowlers Jarrow has produced. He teamed up with a gent named
Stan Judge and won numerous trophies. He was also a member of the
all-conquering Jarrow bowling club who were champions of
England.
