Spanish international left back who arrived on loan from Real
Madrid at the very end of the transfer window in January 2002. Kept
out of the Madrid side by Roberto Carlos, he sees this as a
temporary move to keep his name in the mind of the Spanish national
coach rather than a prelude to signing for Leeds - and since the
sell-on clause in his contract values him at £16 million it's
hard to see Leeds being able to afford him!

has good ones and he puts fear into the other team thru his free
