Senegalese forward with a decent pedigree in French football who
arrived on trial in summer 2003. Put on an excellent display at
Tolka Park in a couple of pre-season friendlies that convinced the
fans - and Peter Reid - that he could do a job for Leeds, and was
signed on a year-long loan with an option to buy.
After appearing for France at U-21 level, a lack of progress in
the senior side saw him switch his allegiance back to the country
of his birth, making his full international debut for Senegal in
the 2004 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia.
Nicole says: It's a shame for the fans to forget Harry Kewell so
soon. How could you forget the wonderful moments when he beat Rome
and Manchester United for Whites? He used to be our best player and
he spent nearly 9 years here. Sakho has some decent skills, still,
he don't deserve the No.10 shirt which Harry once made so special.
My friends and I don't buy Mckenzie's story, and i really don't
think it would be much more respectable and righteous to abandon a
player than to abandon a team. Harry remains our favorite and we
want him to get back!!
dave peel says: i asked him at the harrogate friendly if he was
liking it in england and he said he wants to sign permanently.
george says: he seems to be a lovely fella who plays with a
smile on his face, which is more than can be said for kewell who
never gave much to the team as a personality. he more than makes up
for the loss in my opinion
James Smith says: I don't think that Peter Reids being fair on
Sakho because we signed him for an extra striker but instead he is
being played in midfield and in the birmingham match he made two
poor shots at goal and Viduka did nothing in striker position where
as Sakho could have got a few goals in for us there. If you have
connections then tell them this and maybe we'll start winning
matches.
Sarah says: WEL Sakho!yo wats da craic ur RAPID MAN! pure class

wants to win like this club is ur heart and it means everything to
u thanks fot that it adds to the team spirit u,ve become a real
favourite of mine keep it up and thanks a mil,cuz it's tough being
a Leeds fan but knowing the players are as hungry for victory as we
are makes it dat much easier keep up da good work fair play 2
ya!x
Anon says: sakho is a great player he the 2nd best player on the
team alan smith is the best. smith and sakho could take on every
other leeds player put together
Paul Chester says: ithink he started weel but he has faded away
he is not up to the english game we should play barmby instead
Chloé says: Excuse me for my bad English, but I'm a
French girl and Lamine Sakho has been my favorite player for his
years spent in Lens. I used to love going to the Bollaert's stadium
to watch him. I wish he had stayed to help R.C.L.! In fact, a
little time after he had left this club, Lens didn't win the
championship and was only second.
Ben Atkin says: I thought lamine sakho was a lively player who
started well and won the fans over at first but faded as the season
went on. He is a striker but i prefered him on the left wing
because he seemed to adapt in a more creative role like against
newcastle. He didn't live up to his standards up front like we saw
in games like bolton and man u. He didn't have enough commitment to
do well for the struggling Leeds side. That can be said to the rest
of the loan players e.g. camara, chapuis.
