Jabba's Comments |
Joe Harris had already made a name for himself in football
before signing for Leeds, with a long spell at Bristol City (during
which time he was fined for being paid while registered as an
amateur). He was a key figure in Leeds' Division Two Champion side
of 1924, and stayed with the club in its first ever year in
Division 1. Joe was part of a footballing family - brother Neil was
a Scottish international, and nephew John was a Chelsea player and
had a stint in management at Bramall Lane.

Have your say
Did you see Joe Harris play? Did you meet him in a pub, go to
school with him, decorate his house or buy a motor from him? If
you've got any comments or stories about Joe Harris on or off the
pitch, just fill in the form below and (provided they're not
blatantly libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick
note to the spammers who try to add their links to this page by
attempting to get round the client-side validation: don't bother -
the server side does similar checks and throws your garbage
straight into the bit bucket.
