Although I'm a bit too young to have ever seen him, the stats
show that Tom Jennings was one of the greatest players to ever play
for Leeds. Signed from Raith Rovers in 1925, he went on to score
117 goals in 174 appearances - a fantastic strike rate. Jennings
suffered from occasional bouts of illness and but for that would
have scored even more goals and maybe represented his country.
He moved on to Chester in 1931 where he bagged 31 goals. After
that he went on to manage a couple of smaller clubs but never made
it into management at the top level.
Tom Jennings says: Tom Jennings LIVES!!!! In the U.S!! In
Colorado!!
