Those of us who only ever saw John Pearson at Leeds may have a
slightly biased view of this tall, strong centre-forward. Our
memories may be coloured somewhat by memories of his agricultural
efforts that resulted in several good chances inside the six yard
box going a good 20 feet over the bar. In fairness to the bloke, he
spent 15 years in the game, and had a decent enough reputation at
Sheffield Wednesday and had done pretty well at Charlton when Leeds
brought him back to Yorkshire. He was frequently used as a sub, but
even so his goalscoring rate was just not good enough for a first
choice striker and he found his opportunities limited.

neighbour!! Our cats went missing as well, only now he has moved
has the garden bird population started to decline again as more
cats ploriferate the area.
