The Times, Sunday Times and Telegraph now seem to
require registration to view articles on their sites, with the
Times and Sunday Times charging readers outside the UK. The
Times/Sunday Times has also moved some of the older articles into
an archive which requires separate registration and requires you to
pay to access the content. The Independent now charges for access
to articles more than a week old.
Sheffield United might not be challenging Chelsea for honours in
the Premiership next season but Jose Mourinho may meet his match in
Neil Warnock when it comes to controversy. The mind boggles at the
prospect of Warnock patrolling the technical areas of Stamford
Bridge, Old Trafford and Highbury with the same unbridled passion
and outspoken attitude he has brought to the Championship.
Last night's bruising encounter between United and their
Yorkshire rivals Leeds was another platform on which Warnock
excelled in this particular department. Eirik Bakke had clumsily
headed an own-goal to give the home side an early breakthrough
before David Healy struck a crisp equaliser shortly before the
interval. The real drama unfolded moments later, however, when the
Leeds defender Gary Kelly, who had already been cautioned, incensed
Warnock with a lunge at Craig Short. What followed was classic
Warnock.
